UIC offers tailormade business development support, knowledge, networks and financing to innovative startups and growth companies that want to develop their idea, scale up or reach an international market.
The UIC model includes business development programs and a broad network of carefully selected business coaches within the commercial and industrial sectors, all focused on helping companies achieve their goals.
UIC does not take any ownership in the companies.
Companies also receive support from a broad network of UIC partners, within different sectors, throughout the programs. The partners contribute to the companies’ development through their expertise and individual coaching.
The survival rate of UIC companies is high – nine out of ten companies that complete the final step of our business development programs remain active in the market and create growth.
UIC is one of Sweden’s leading business incubators and accelerators and dates back to 1999.
By sharing their knowledge and expertise, UIC’s partners support the development of startups and scaleups within UIC through seminars, unique offers and by financial contributions to UIC.
UIC is owned equally by STUNS (the Foundation for Collaboration between the Universities in Uppsala, Business and Public Sector), the municipality of Uppsala, SLU Holding and Uppsala University Invest. UIC is part of the national incubator program supported by Vinnova, Sweden’s innovation Agency.
